
Edna Mae Parrott (nee: Roach), 59, passed away at her residence on Sunday, February 19, 2012.
She was born in Racine on November 26, 1952, the daughter of the late James and Venolia (nee: Jackson) Roach. She graduated from Washington Park High School.
Edna worked as a prep cook at the Corner House preparing food for thousands of people over 20 years. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and caring for others. A Christian woman, Edna worshiped at New Omega Baptist Church. She had a vibrant smile that will be missed by those who knew her.
Her survivors left to cherish her memory include her son, Anthony (Tameka Abdullah) Roach, Sr. of Racine; her grandchildren, Anthony A. Roach, Jr. of Racine, Onassis A. Roach of Madison, Sasha M. Roach, Cassius T. Roach both of Racine; her siblings, Kathryn (James) Evans-Roach of Kenosha, James Henry Roach, Arlene Dunn-Roach both of Milwaukee, Reginald Roach and Maryann Roach both of Racine; special nieces, Giovanne and Nicole Dunn; special friend, Jeff Knuckles of Racine; as well as many other dear family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Edna’s life and Homegoing with Rev. Fred Richmond officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 a.m.
