Ellen Ann Veto

Jul 28, 1928 – Dec 22, 2014

Racine – Ellen Ann Veto, 86, received the promise of eternal life on Monday, December 22, 2014.  She was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on July 28, 1928.

Ellen lived in Racine most of her life. She and her late husband, Roy, owned and operated Veto's Toys Wholesale and Vending and Veto's Food Shop for many years prior to moving to Apache Junction, Arizona, in 1980. Retirement was not yet in their plans and they began Veto's Tours & Travel which remained operational until Ellen's illness took her from it a few years ago. She returned to Racine to be cared for by her family.

Ellen is survived by her children, Ernest Veto (Jessica Babington) of Racine, Patricia Cook (Steven) of Gallatin, TN and Francis Veto of Lolo, MT. She is further survived by 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends from around the world.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Veto, in 1991.

Ellen’s family is planning a celebration of her life to be held on Friday, December 26, 2014, 10:00am, at First Church of God, 1650 Lathrop Avenue.  Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of the service.
