Racine – Erna Brazeale, 94, passed away at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Friday, April 9, 2010. Erna was born in Brazeao, Wisconsin on March 18, 1916 to the late Gus and Louise (nee: Krolzick) Cudnofsky. Following graduation from nursing school, she pursued her dream of living on the West Coast. Erna was employed as a Registered Nurse at Stanford University Hospital in San Francisco for over 35 years. Following, she and her husband, Donald Brazeale, retired to Reno, NV. After Donald passed away, Erna moved to Racine to be closer to family. Surviving are her brothers, Oswald Young of Racine and Max Young of Lombard, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Erna was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Cudnofsky and Ernest Young; and sister, Ella Klenovich-Sorensen. A Memorial Service celebrating Erna’s life will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to gather in the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 10:30 am.
