KENOSHA – Mrs. Fannina “Nina” Garza, 83, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Hospice Alliance Hospice House on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

She was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on September 27, 1941, the daughter of the late Alejandro Flores Morales and Mariana Flores Anduray.  She lived in Honduras until moving to Kenosha in 1983.   She was very proud when she became a United States citizen.

Her first husband, Rodolfo Osmar Aguilar, passed away in 1972.  She later married Julian M. “Bo” Garza, Jr. on May 2, 1987.  He preceded her in death on August 20, 2021.

Nina graduated from the Universidad Autonoma De Honduras with a degree in accounting.  She worked in sales for Farinter/Rivera and Co. in Honduras.  When she moved to Kenosha, she worked for The Leader Store, as well as a nanny for several local families.

Nina enjoyed watching telenovelas (soap operas) and going to church.   She attended St. Mark’s Catholic Church and Journey Church in Kenosha.   However, she was happiest in the company of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Osmar (Deidre) Aguilar, Carmen (Todd) Schaap, Alejandro (Aracely) Aguilar; her grandchildren, OJ (Jessica) Aguilar, Perry Cooper, Jordan (Sammantha) Cooper, Nathaniel (Hana) Aguilar, Kelsey (Chad) Keddington, Elliot Aguilar, Alexander Aguilar and Ivana Aguilar; her great grandchildren, Lola, Celia, Nina, Isaiah, Maxwell, Apple, Ivy, Oliver, Emilia, Ellis, Adelaide, Jordan Jr. Sienna, Everett, Lucas and Tahlia.  Also survived by her sister Ifigenia (Godofredo) Alvarado, Lenin (Sandra) Flores, and Rolando (Lurian) Flores.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Nina was preceded in death by two sisters, Nena Flores and Alberna Flores, and a brother, Alejandro Flores.

A private service will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.  Memorials have been suggested to Youth for Christ (https://youthforchristwi.com/) or Hospice Alliance Hospice House (https://www.hospicealliance.org/)

so my soul pants for you, my God.
