Racine, WI – Floncie Mae (nee: Lathan) Brown, was born to Mary (nee: Wright) Tillman and James Lathan on December 11, 1933, in Alligator, Mississippi. She relocated to Wisconsin in 1971. Floncie Mae passed away on April 19, 2022.

Floncie Mae was a member of United Faith Missionary Baptist Church currently under the leadership of Pastor Gregory Daniels. She was a housekeeper and Caretaker for over 60 years. Floncie Mae has always taken care of others. She was the glue that kept the family together and everybody’s go to person for everything. She always strongly encouraged everyone to get an education. Floncie Mae was loved by all. She loved to cook, and she was well known for her dressing, sweet potato pies, and sweet tea. Floncie Mae loved spending time with her family and friends. She was very small and quiet but feisty when she needed to be.

Floncie Mae leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings Ethel Lee Caffey, Betty (Sammie) Breckenridge, Shirley Windham, Katie Mae Perry and Roberta Dunn; godson R.T. Clay Jr., a host of nieces, nephews, special family members, cousins and many friends too numerous to mention by name, but none are forgotten. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lee Ethel Clay and her brother Eddie Lacy.

Aunt Floncie Mae we love you and will surely miss you!!
