
RACINE – Fred C. Rendon, 44, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
He was born in Racine on August 23, 1969, the son of Peter Velasquez and Irene Rendon. He graduated from William Horlick High School in 1987.
Fred was kind and gentle person with huge heart for animals; especially his dogs, Pongo, Milo and Piper. He was also a loving grandson, son, brother and uncle who loved family gatherings, cookouts and traveling with his nephew for Tae Kwon Do tournaments. Fred had a passion for art; especially painting, photography and writing poetry. He also had a love and talent for jewelry and design while he was employed by Brandt’s Jewelers. Fred will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Fred is survived by his grandmothers, Esther Rendon of Racine, Josephine Zertuche of San Antonio; his mother, Irene Rendon; his sisters and brothers, Ursula (Mike) Swift of Kenosha, John (Kristen) Lee, Rebecca (Daniel) Knight, Christopher (Roxann) Rendon, Cruz Toman and Genevieve Villarreal all of Texas; his nieces and nephews, whom he thought of as his own children, Amy Rendon, Mercedes Alvarez, Jordan Alvarez, Aaron Swift, Jonathan Swift, Sabrina Swift, Kayla Villarreal; as well as many other dear nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and devoted friends. Fred was preceded in death by his father, grandfather, a niece and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 3-5 p.m. for a time to meet with his family. A service celebrating and honoring Fred’s life will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Anyone wishing to speak will be given an opportunity. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to help with Fred’s final expenses.
