Marion Morawicz says
Gary,
When I was little, I begged and begged for a sister or a brother. I got you. You were ok for a while, then you were a pain, then a nuisance when I was trying to secretly kiss my boyfriend, then gradually I thought you were actually ok, although I had moved out by then. As you grew up to manhood, you became the grown-up you, the endless teaser (so still a pain), the fiercely loyal defender (that was ok), the one who fixed my cars and house with some teasing thrown in (the price I had to pay), and the man who always had my back. You shared these special gifts first with my children, and became the world’s best uncle, and then with my grandchildren, the world’s best granduncle. They all loved teasing Uncle Gary who looked like a super hero, so still the fiercely loyal defender. I had wished and wished for a little brother. I am so lucky: I got you. You are forever in my heart. I love you, my baby brother. Marion
Paul Schoenfeld says
So sad. Gary, you were like a brother to me during high school. Playing darts, shooting pool, and just hanging out skipping school. You’ll be missed!
