Racine– Grace E. (nee: Munro) Tylla, 96, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 17, 2011.
Grace was born in Goetzville, MI on June 23, 1914. On November 14, 1935 she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Frank Joe Tylla, who preceded her in death on August 14, 1992. Grace was a proud and devoted homemaker who treasured the times gathered by her entire family.
With a profound Christian faith, Grace had been a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. She was extremely talented at knitting and crocheting, yet giving her creations to others is what made the hobby most satisfying.
Surviving are her four sons and daughters-in-law, Frank T. (Barbara) Tylla of Racine; Jerome L. (Bertha) Tylla of Williamsville, MO; Richard D. (Faith) Tylla of Sheboygan; and Robert W. (Sharon) Tylla of Racine; grandchildren, Lisa (Terry) Christensen, Deborah (James) Smith, Theresa Tylla, Kris (Mike) Becker, Noel Tylla and Brent Tylla; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Hattie Stimac, Agnes Pernet and Marge Tylla; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Grace was preceded in death by her father, William Munro; husband, Frank Joe Tylla; and by a brother, William (Midge) Munro.
Funeral Services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11:00 am with Chaplain Gary Ruckman officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 9-11am.
A special note of thanks to Dr. Thomas Goodrich and to Hospice Alliance for the compassionate care and support in our Mother’s time of need. Your kindness will always be remembered!

It won't ever be the same here without you Grandma. I'll miss you so. But knowing you are together with Grandpa, Uncle Stanley, Uncle Tom, Mittens, MacTavish and all the other beings you loved and knowing that you're no longer hurting is comforting. Godspeed, I love you.
