Harvey H. Hasenstein

RACINE – Mr. Harvey H. Hasenstein, 92, passed away at WFH- All Saints on Friday, May 10, 2013.

   He was born in Sheboygan on July 25, 1920, the son of the late Carl and Lilly (nee: Majewski) Hasenstein.  He graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1939.  Two years later on October 18, 1941 he married Marion Fairweather at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

   Mr. Hasenstein served his nation with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.  He worked for various companies including, Massey-Harris, Oster Manufacturing and Webster Electric.  He retired as a draftsman with Eaton-Dynamatic.  In his earlier years he enjoyed golfing, bowling, music, playing the keyboard, traveling and reading.  However, he was happiest when he was in the company of his family.

   In addition to his loving wife Marion of 71 years, he is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Richard (Kathleen A.) Hasenstein of Union Grove, Thomas (Kathleen J.) Hasenstein of Franksville; his grandchildren, Heather (Jen Lister) Hasenstein of Stoughton, Jason (Marie) Hasenstein of Oregon, WI, Colleen (Patrick) Lang of Madison; as well as 4 nieces and 1 nephew.  Mr. Hasenstein was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Hasenstein; his grandson, Brian Beeck and his brother and sister-in-law, Herbert (Frieda) Hasenstein.

   Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 3-4 p.m. for a visitation and a time to greet his family.  There will be a brief prayer service to follow at 4:00 p.m.  Private interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
