
Bruce E. Hawkins, 47, was called Home, from the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, OH, by his Heavenly Father on November 17, 2010. He was born in Racine, WI on September 2, 1963, the son of Fredrick and Elvira (nee: Hamilton) Hawkins.
Bruce graduated from Washington Park High School. On March 17, 1988 he was united in marriage to the former Theresa Petty. She preceded him in death on September 11, 2010. Bruce had been employed by Bob Evans and the Golden Corral restaurants, in Toledo.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Tanesha Hawkins, of Racine, and Aubryann Hawkins, of Toledo, OH; sons, Tamarrio, Evans, and Brice Hawkins, all of Toledo, OH; 3 grandchildren, Damario, Damiah, and Dakaila; mother, Elvira (Melvin) Bumpus, of Racine; father, Fredrick Hawkins, of Joliet, IL, brothers, Daryl (Lucy) Hawkins, and Melvin (Latasha) Bumpus; sisters, Karen Hawkins, and Starlynn (Guy) Daley; brother-in-law Michael Wainwright, all of Racine. His nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends further survive him. He was preceded in death by his daughter Alivia Hawkins, nephew, Ladarris Hawkins, and by his grandparents.
His Homegoing Service will be held in St. Paul Baptist Church, 11th and Center, on Friday, November the 26th, at 11:00 a.m., with his cousin, Rev. Melvin Hargrove officiating. Visitation will be in he church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
