
Racine – Henry E. Keller, age 84, passed away peacefully at Hospice Alliance – Racine Hospice House on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
Henry was born in Racine on June 12, 1929 to Ellsworth and Evelyn (nee: Wagner) Keller. He faithfully served our Country with the United States Naval Reserve from age 17 until 19. Later, he joined the Army Signal Corps where he served in Alaska from 1951-53.
On September 16, 1950 he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Patricia C. (nee: Clemens) at Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Henry was employed as a machinist at Dumore for more than 30 years, retiring in 1992.
Henry was a longtime member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. He was an extremely talented woodworker who handcrafted many amazing figurines, bird houses and toys for his grandchildren. Henry was also fond of automobiles – especially of the Ford Model A. Above all, he loved and cherished being in the surroundings of his entire family.
Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia; children, David (Dawn) Keller, Brian (Denise) Keller and Roxanne (Thomas) Kaminski; grandchildren, Natossiah Potter; Derek, Shannon, Rory and David Keller; Stacy and Wendy Keller; Sharra (Gabe) Molina; Michaela and Erin Keller; Heather (Steve) Komas, Amanda Wieser and Kayla Kaminski; great-grandchildren, Daniel, McKenna and Alexsys Potter; Talon and Khloe Molina; and Gwenivere Komas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sydney Keller; brothers, Harold Keller and Robert (Shirley) Keller; sister, Dorothy Kerner; and by Patricia’s parents, Peter and Antonia Clemens.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Kara Baylor officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 pm and on Tuesday from 10-11 am.
