Howard Earl Powell departed this life on March 9, 2020.  He was born October 18, 1960 to Joe and Lillie (nee: Little) Powell in Isola, Mississippi.

Howard received his formal education in the Racine Unified School District and graduated from Horlick High School in Racine, WI, graduating in 1978.  He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age.

Howard held various positions since age 17.  He was a very devoted and hard working man.  His most recent job was at American Metal Technology as a machine repairman.

Howard shared his life with his companion Cynthia McDuffie and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks. He advocated for his friends and family and he was always there to offer support. Howard was adored by his nieces and nephews.

Howard leaves to cherish his memory his son, Issac Bluitt; brothers Joe Cole, Ernest (Elizabeth) Powell and Nailon (Tracie) Lee; one sister, Clarethe Powell; three grandsons, Quintin, Isaiah, and Mekhi, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, as well as his loving companion Cynthia McDuffie and his longtime friend Darryl White.

Howard was preceded in death by his father Joe Louis Powell; mother Lillie Powell; paternal grandparents Joe Nathan and Savannah (nee: Rayford) Powell; maternal grandparents Johnson and Le-Ester (nee: Steward) Little, Sr.; uncles Johnson Little, Jr., Eddie, and Bernard and his aunts Leola Washington and Connie Harrell.

    Howard we go way back when we went to Greater St. Lukes Church back in the days and stay friends till the present. God seen you were getting tired and took you home your work is done on this side to your sister brother and the rest of the family will keep y’all lifted up in prayer LOVE

    I thank God that I got to talk and pray with Howard at Ascension Allsaint. Howard told me he was ready when the Lord come for him and he thank God for giving him time to change his life. He also pray for his son too. He crack joke about some of his friends. He let me know how Earnest and Cynthia took good care of him. No matter what he was going through he had a smile on his face. Rip Howard.
