James Edward Banks

   RACINE – James Banks, age 71, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday February 4, 2014. 

   He was born November 14, 1942 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Charlie Banks Sr and Estella Rucker Banks. James Banks moved to Racine, Wisconsin where he currently lived. After many tours all over the world as a decorated soldier in the US Army, James was forced to retire due to military injury serving his country. He spent the rest of his life and time loving his only child Olympia Banks and his two grandchildren Eboni M. Finley and Brooke A. McCaskill.

   Survivors include his brother Apostle Eugene (Shirley) Banks of Dallas Fort Worth, Texas, his sister Amy Arch of Phoenix, Arizona, Only child Olympia Banks, grand children Eboni M. Finley and Brooke A. McCaskill, his best friend James Carter of Northridge, California and a host of nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his father Charlie Banks Sr, His mother Estella Rucker Banks and his brother Charlie Banks Jr.

   James Banks’s wishes were to be quietly cremated and placed in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Any cards or monetary condolences may be addressed to the Draeger -Langendorf Funeral Home and then will be given to the family.
