Services celebrating Jimmy will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Father Craig Richter officiating. A memorial luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm.

Sturtevant- James Louis Carpino, age 72, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
Jimmy was born in Racine, WI on November 17, 1952 to the late Harry and Dorthea (nee: Schaub) Carpino. A graduate of JI Case High School, he went on to become quite the mechanic at Racine Truck and Truck Country; owned/operated Carpino Trucking and retired from Sturtevant Public Works, of where he had worked for over 20 years.
On June 4, 2016 at Fountain Hall in Sturtevant, Jimmy was united in marriage with Mary Alice (nee: Zuniga) Cruz. Some of his interests included his Harley-Davidson, classic cars, casinos, pull tabs, video poker and being anywhere that allowed Jimmy to socialize with others. He was truly a people person who loved nothing more than being together with his entire family.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Carpino; children, Cher (Brad) Guentzel, Sabrina (Kris Sr.) Fanke, Marjorie “GiGi” (Jaime) Munoz, Alfonzo Cruz, Jr. and Sergio (Maria) Cruz; grandchildren, Haley, Wyatt, Anthony, Hunter, Rachael (Uriel), Kris Jr. (Morgan), Xavier, Jayden, Jaime Jr., Isabel, Alfonzo III, Sergio Jr., Gionni and Kaedo; great-grandchildren, Austin and Lillianna; brother, Edward (Elizabeth Johnson) Carpino; sister, Mary Ann Lynn; sisters-in-law, Christine Carpino, Anita Medina, Carol (Richard) Cruz, Veronica Rath, Lisa (Andy) Avila, Elena Zuniga and Dora Schuster; brother-in-law, Gabriel Zuniga Jr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Carpino; nephew, Adam Carpino; and by Mary’s parents, Gabriel and Rosalie (nee: Carrillo) Zuniga.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Jimmy. It’s been a long time but I will never forget his mischievous smile and laughter as a teen. I’m glad he carried that throughout his life.
