Janice L. Hardville

Apr 27, 1953 – Sep 25, 2010

Janice L. Hardville, 57, passed away at Sheridan Medical and Rehabilitation Center of Kenosha on Saturday, September 25, 2010.

Janice was born in Racine on April 27, 1953, the daughter of Rev. Lee and Thelma (nee: Dogans) Finley, Sr.  She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1972. On July 22, 1978 she married the love of her life, Morris E. Hardville.

Janice worked as a receptionist for Racine Dental Group before her illness prevented her from continuing.

A devout Christian woman, she was a longtime member of Israel of God Church.  In addition to her Lord and Savior, her greatest love was for family.  She always enjoyed cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband, Morris, her survivors include her children, Yushika Finley of Racine, Ashanta Hardville of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Tavarese and Tyrese Finley both of Racine, Sanaiyah Hardville of Orlando, FL; her parents, Rev. Lee and Thelma Finley, Sr. of Wilmar, AR; brothers and sisters, Lee (Edna) Finley, Brian (Janita) Finley, Jessica (Kelvin) Buckley, Sonja Finley all of Racine, Brenda (Rev. Hurley) Collins of Detroit,  Francine (Lee) Strong, Mark (Donna) Finley both of Madison, WI and Vanessa (Karl) Sims of Bettendorf, IA; mother-in-law, Bernice Hardville; brother-in-law, Drew (Ursula) Hardville both of Racine; as well as numerous dear nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

The celebration of Janice’s life and Homegoing will be held at Israel of God’s Church WHA (2017 Mead St.) on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. George B. Hamilton officiating.  Her burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  There will be a visitation in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. and in the church on Saturday from 8-9 a.m.

The Hardville family wishes to thank Sheridan Medical and Rehabilitation Center and United Hospital Sytems of Kenosha for the loving and professional care that was extended to Janice during her illness.
