Racine – Jeanine Ann (nee: von Germeten) Sus, 62, beloved wife of Joseph E. Sus, passed away at home on Saturday, January 9, 2010 following a courageous battle with cancer. Sus; sister-in-law, Sandra Sus; nieces and nephews, Steven Otto, Melissa Koerber, Jennifer Fude, Rachel Otto; Daryl, Scott, Kyle and Sean DeGuire; Kristen Sus, Kimberley Wilson and Renee Sus; many other dear relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. The Requiem High Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:30 am in St. Peter Catholic Church (corner of 30th Ave. and 23rd St. in Kenosha) with Rev. John J. Richetta officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Highway 31. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm (Rosary at 7:00 pm) and in the funeral home on Thursday from 9 am until the time of the procession to the church at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, please have Tridentine Masses offered for the repose of Jean’s soul. Our thoughts and prayers remain with you during this very trying time. We will continue to keep Jean’s soul in our prayers. We have caused a novena of traditional Masses to be offered for the repose of Jean’s soul, by Fr. Arturo Vargas, a priest of the Society of St. Pius X.
Love and prayers,
John, Anne & Family

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jean. I did not receive the message about the wake until ten on Wednesday night. I am so sorry that I will not be able to attend the funeral. My thoughts and certainly my prayers will be with your family. I have a crucifix in our living room that Jean painted many years ago when we attended the Queenship of Mary Chapel. Of course, there is nowhere you could possibly buy something as beautiful as the cross Jean made. I meditate each morning. It is a beautiful reminder of what Jesus did for us. It will also remind me of Jean taking up her cross and saving so many souls. May the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Sincerely,
Teresa M. Hill

I am so very sorry to hear of the death of Jean Sus. I had lost touch with her for about five years. Carter and I attended Queenship of Mary from 1986-1995. We enjoyed knowing Jean and her family while we were there. She painted a couple of Marian statues for us. We still have them and will remind us of Jean and her devotion to God and family. You are all in our prayers.
