Jeffrey "Jeff" Burch

Jan 18, 1972 – Nov 27, 2013

Racine- Jeffrey Charles Burch, age 41, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, of natural causes yet to be determined, on Wednesday, November 27, 2013.

Jeff was born in Racine on January 18, 1972 to Jeffrey John and Jacqueline “Jackie” Lee (nee: Rutkowski) Burch. He lived a completely healthy and normal life as a young man who loved fishing Up-North and riding dirt-bikes. Life completely changed for Jeff at age 15 – when he was tragically diagnosed with the chronic brain disorder of Schizophrenia….a disease he has valiantly battled over the past 29 years.

Jeff had attended J.I. Case High School and had been employed by Careers Industries. In recent years, Jeff enjoyed building models, watching monster truck races and had an extensive collection of movies.

Jeff is survived by his loving parents, Jeff and Jackie Burch; beloved brother, Jaime Michael (Shelly) Burch; adored nephew, Parker John Burch; aunt, Judith Ann Canfield; uncles, Joseph Edmund (Teri) Rutkowski, Jon Jeffrey (Murlyn) Rutkowski and David Charles Burch; cousins, Joey, Lori and Paul Rutkowski; Susan and Michael (Sheila) Canfield; many other special relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edmund & Anna (nee: Hunter) Rutkowski and Charles Frederick & Gladys (nee: Teska) Burch; and uncle, Richard Canfield.

Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30 – 10:30 am.

A heartfelt note of thanks to all of our devoted family members and friends for the outpouring of love and support offered during this difficult time. May God bless all of you!

Testimonials

October 9, 2020

I would like to thank Mike Langendorf, Bill Althaus and the rest of the staff for the wonderful celebration of the life for my father Raymond L. Szymanski who was a WWII veteran. I especially appreciate how much you really listen and the questions you asked regarding who my father was and what he was all about. Those details showed up in every part of the service from the flowers, the music, the thank you’s, pictures, obituary, outdoor military honors, etc. etc. My father would have been so grateful for the way you honored his life. I also received phone calls from family and friends indicating how beautiful the service was in every way. You and your staff definitely go above and beyond. You treat everyone like family and your compassion is so genuine. There should be more people in the world just like all of you. No words can express our gratitude for all you have done for myself, my father and our family. Thank you so very much and may the Lord bless you and yours! Sincerely Terri Carls and the Szymanski Family
