
Racine– Joginder Singh Jutley, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, March 12, 2012.
Joginder was born in Uganda on December 14, 1948 to Puran Singh Jutley and Elizabeth (nee: Chazike) Jutley. He came to the United States in June of 1973. From then on, Joginder has been responsible for sponsoring many family members and friends, from around the world, on their journey to becoming United States citizens. Thus, Joginder lovingly acquired the title “Captain of the Ship”.
On March 4, 1975 in India, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Gurvinder K. Virdi. They are devoted members of the Sikh faith. As a skilled tradesman, Joginder has been employed for over 35 years in the welding shop at Pneumatech of Kenosha. With a tireless work ethic, he also owned and operated General Welding Services.
With a profound passion for the sport of boxing, Joginder has been the leader of Racine Boxing Club for nearly 30 years. During that time, he not only taught the skill of boxing but discipline and respect to many youth throughout our community. Joginder was a phenomenal cook and master of the grill who loved sharing his authentic creations with others; had a great appreciation for music; was a talented photographer and terrific dancer. He lived his entire life in the spirit of giving…and never wanting anything in return.
Surviving are his loving wife of over 37 years, Gurvinder K. Jutley; their children, Ranjita K. Jutley, Kulvinder S. (Gabriella) Jutley and Harinder S. Jutley; mother, Elizabeth Jutley; grandchildren, Malaika and Anaiya Murphy; Mario Rangel; Rahul-Ismael Jutley, Kulvinder S. Jutley Jr. and Indio S. Jutley; brothers, Ajit S. Jutley and Pritam S. (Limia) Jutley; sisters, Dilip K. Nota, Mahender K. Rayat, Meeta K. (Madan) Mohan and Charan K. Lall; mother-in-law, Amir Kaur Virdi; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Harjinder K. (Parminder S.) Jutley, Yashpal K. (Ragbir S.) Chana, Mahijit S. (Parminder K.) Virdi and Jagjit S. (Kiran K.) Virdi; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in the United States and throughout the world.
Joginder was preceded in death by his father, Puran S. Jutley; father-in-law, Kartar S. Virdi; and brothers-in-law, Harbans S. Lall, Mohan S. Nota and Udham S. Rayat.
Traditional services with the rites and rituals of the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm. All are invited to attend.
