Service Details

Services celebrating Jose’s life will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 3:00PM – 5:00PM and in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.

 

 

Jose Raul Martinez, Sr., age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 20, 2025.

Jose was born in Laredo, Texas to Concepcion and Eleuteria (nee: Balderas) Martinez. Jose was united in marriage with Francisca Trujillo on July 16, 1962. He was employed by JI Case, retiring after 28 years. Among his interests, Jose loved dancing and listening to music, especially Ruben Vela; watching the Green Bay Packers; visiting his hometown of Laredo, TX; he loved his dog, Benji; first and foremost, Jose loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his loving wife, Francisca; children, Lucy (Ramon) Garcia, Freddy (Sonia) Martinez, Concepcion (Flora) Martinez, Estela (Dennis) Rondon and Danny (Sandra) Martinez; grandchildren, Damasio, Olga (Corey), Marianna, Eliazar, Anjelica, Concepcion, Jr. (Kate), Faustino (Mariza), Estrella (Rogelio), Feliciano, Britney (Brandon), Marcos, Augustine, Ariella (Walde), Noeli and Daniel; 25 great grandchildren; sister, Belia (Joe) Palacios;  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jose was preceded in death by his son, Jose R. Martinez, Jr.; parents, Concepcion and Eleuteria; brothers and sisters; father-in-law, Faustino Trujillo Perez and mother-in-law, Eulalia Perez Trujillo.
