Josephine "Joie" Davis

May 21, 1953 – Nov 7, 2008

Josephine M. Davis, 55, found peace on Friday, November 7, 2008, with her family at her side. She was born in Racine on May 21, 1953 the daughter of the late John and Lillian (nee: Johnson) Zurawski. Joie was united in marriage to David Davis on April 7, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV. She was along time member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She enjoyed collecting jewelry, stones and antiques, music, and fishing at her favorite spot, Wind Lake. Surviving are her children; Lisa (Raymond) Ellis of Racine, Kevin (Yumi) George of Ft. Lewis, WA, Jessica and Samantha Davis both at home; 7 grandchildren, Chelsea, Andre, Molly, Cassidy, Kaya, Hali and Tannyn; sisters and brothers, Catherine McIntosh of Mosinee, Patricia (Eric) Olson of Sturtevant, John Zurawski of Franksville, David (Jeanne) Zurawski of Brookfield, and brother-in-law Gary Geschke in Florida. Her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents Josephine was preceded in death by her sister Mary Geschke and brother-in-law Byron McIntosh. Her Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14th,with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Relatives and friends are asked to meet with the family in the funeral home on Friday from 12 o’clock noon until the time of the service.
