Kathleen Lucile Grabanski (nee: Krause), age 81, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Kathy was born in Hortonville, WI to Leslie and Lucile (nee: Radichel) Krause on February 14, 1944. She graduated from Racine Lutheran High School in 1962. On October 8, 1966, she was united in marriage with Edwin Grabanski. Kathy was employed with DeMark, Kolbe & Brodek for over 20 years as a receptionist. Among her interests, Kathy was active in bowling, volleyball and softball.  She was an avid gardener and had quite a green thumb; loved animals, especially dogs, and will be missed by Daisy.  She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection for over 50 years and involved in many areas of church fellowship, including teaching Sunday School and the Altar Guild.  Kathy loved music and dancing.  She had a wonderful sense of humor which worked well with her quick wit.  Most of all, Kathy loved her family.

Surviving are her husband, Edwin; children, Valerie (Dave) Nance, Stacey Robe and Jason (Charlette) Grabanski; grandchildren, Justin (Emily), Ashley (Alex), Toby (Jacq), Karley, Victoria (Matt) and Timothy; brother, Robert McCabe; sisters, Bev Ricke, Diane Tresider, Jan (Tom) Weyer and Joan (Bill) Kollman; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Arnie) Lizakowski and Jane Vaughn; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Les and Lucile; her in-laws, Dominic and Lorna Grabanski; brothers-in-law, Jim Tresider, Dave Ricke, Bill Vaughn, Herman and Arthur Grabanski; sisters-in-law, Sandy McCabe and Irene Grabanski; nephews, Danny Tresider and Gary Grabanski.

Aunt Kathy will always be a special blessing to me. I remember all the times we stayed over at the house and swam in the pool. She had wonderful spunk and a laugh that you could not miss. I have a lot of special memories. So thankful that she is now with Jesus. Praying for you all during this hard time. May God give you his strength and comfort your hearts. Love you all.

Kathy was one of our best neighbor we have ever had. She was so funny and made use smile many times.
We are so sorry we could not attend the funeral. We were at the hospital most of the day with Mary’s health kidney issues.
Hope Ed is ok, he was with Kathy for a very long time. They did everything together. We are so sorry for his loss. Kathy is looking down at us all smiling as always.
