Racine– Keneth Verian Weisensel, Sr., age 59, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Sunday morning, November 25, 2012, due to heart failure.
Ken was born on April 11, 1953 to the late Verian Linus and Helene (nee: Jaje) Weisensel. On November 9, 1974 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cathryn Ann Weisensel.
Ken was employed as a Wire EDM Operator at Wire Specialist in Brookfield. Among his interests, he enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hunting with family and toasting life with a cold beverage – especially a Margarita. Above all, Ken was all about family and was extremely proud of being “Boppa”.
Surviving are his loving wife of over 38 years, Cathy; their children, Nicole (John Sr.) Springsteen, Lorali (Steven) Dobrowolski and Ken (Melissa) Weisensel, Jr.; Boppa’s treasures, Cathryn and John Springsteen, Jr.; Karalina, Gina, and Steven Michael Vern “Boy” Dobrowolski, Jr.; and Brylan “Jake”, Kevin, Alex and Tayla Weisensel; sisters, Jeanine (Steve) McGrath, Delores Anderson and Sally (Don) Witte; brothers, Denis (Sue) and David (Rebecca) Weisensel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his adored infant daughter, Karalina Katinka Weisensel; and brother-in-law, Ralph Anderson.
In accordance with Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions / memorials to Ken’s family have been suggested. Most importantly, in the spirit of Ken, celebrate life with a cold beer in one hand and another one waiting in the other.
A man shall cling to his wife and the two shall become one.
In heaven, too, you will have my hand.
