Service Details

Kevin G. Bertelson, 63, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020. His Memorial Service will be held in the funeral Home on Saturday, November 21st at 3:00 p.m. with his good friend Roger Lehner officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Kevin G. Bertelson, 63, of Racine, passed away at his residence on Friday, November 6, 2020. He was born in Racine on February 15, 1957 the son of the late George L. and Adella A. (nee: Jungwirth) Bertelson.

After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in business from UW Parkside, he had a successful career in outside sales, spending numerous years at Super Steel in Milwaukee, WI. He later owned and operated his own business, American Petroleum.  On May 31st, 1980, he was married to Kathryn Devine. On August 17, 1994, his wife Kathryn passed away. He enjoyed boating, owning a boat and slip in the Racine harbor, where he and Kathryn spent many summer days. Kevin was someone who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. His sense of humor was second to none. He was a good son, brother, husband, and friend. He will be missed.

Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Kurt and Debbie Bertelson, of Sartell, MN; three nephews, Brett Bertelson, Drew Bertelson, and Jay Bertelson. Also surviving is his niece Jolene Devine.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathryn, mother and  father-in-law, Jim and Dorothy Devine, and niece Susan Devine.
