Kevin Leonard Kalk

vet
Aug 23, 1957 – Dec 23, 2012

Racine – Kevin Leonard Kalk, 55, passed away on December 23, 2012.  He was born in DeRidder, LA, on August 23, 1957, son of the late Garrett and Marjorie (nee: Potts) Kalk.  He was united in marriage to Julie (nee: Furuglyas) Kalk on November 17, 1994.

Kevin proudly and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army.  He was a carpenter and enjoyed building new creations, especially decks and gazebos.  Kevin was a “jack-of-all-trades” handy man and could fix anything.   He was an avid Packers fan and would always be found faithfully rooting on his team.  Kevin loved fishing and being outdoors.  He especially treasured the time spent with his family at their cabin in Iola.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Julie Kalk of Racine; daughter, Kiersten Kalk of Racine; mother, Marjorie Kalk of South Carolina; brother, Kenny Kalk of South Carolina; sisters, Kathleen (Ray) Morrow, Karen (Delwin) Hargett, both of North Carolina; mother-in-law, Joan Furuglyas of Racine; brothers-in-law, Nick (Chris) Furuglyas, Tom (Sue) Furuglyas, both of Racine; sister-in-law, Lois (Kevin) Waydick of Rhinelander; four-legged companion, Nina; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.  Kevin is preceded in death by his father Garrett and his brother, Kelly.

According to Kevin’s wishes, cremation will take place.  Private services will be held by the family at a later date.

My family picked Draeger , for our Dad, because they did such a wonderful job for my sister and brother in law. I don’t even have the right language skills to tell you how wonderful and compassionate Gary was to our family! He thought of every detail and made it so affordable but yet OUTSTANDING quality! I just can’t say enough about the whole entire process! Thank you Gary! Warren Williams officiated the service and he couldn’t of done a better , more sincere job! Thank you again, Gary!
