Linda Gail Adams

Sep 14, 1950 – Dec 21, 2014

Linda Gail Adams was born on September 14, 1950, to Nancy Mai Nunn and Leon Bobbit in Trenton, Tennessee.  She was united in marriage to Elvis Lee Adams in 1968.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Midtown Church of Christ.

Linda was employed by American Motors for several years.  She enjoyed cooking, decorating, and entertaining her family and friends.  Anyone who knew Linda loved her dearly.

Linda Gail Adams departed this life on December 21, 2014, at 2:55pm.  She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Elvis Lee Adams; mother, Nancy Mai Nunn; brothers, Gus R. Davidson, Sr., Milton R. Powell, James Johnson; uncle, Weldon Davidson; one niece and one nephew.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Charles (Sylvia) Adams, Timmy P. Adams, Steven A. (Stephanie) Adams, all of Racine, Yolanda R. (Rickey) Adams-Fitts of Atlanta, GA, Marian P. Adams of Tampa, FL, Vickey M. Adams of Racine; two sisters, Vella F. Nunn of Milwaukee, Kirdy T. Nunn of Racine; two brothers, Orlandus Powell, Benjamin B. Nunn of Racine; 21 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; four aunts, Florence Mai (Floyd) Gentry of Racine; Oprine Johnson of Trenton, TN, Sara McCrae of Topeka, KS, Carolyn Casey of Indianapolis, IN; two uncles, Gentry (Bobbie) Davidson, James DeBerry; special friend, Steve Turner; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of Linda’s life and homegoing will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.

We want to thank Mike for the kindness and special attention he gave us for our mother. Marcella Conley. He came in the middle of the night himself to pick her up and take her to the funeral home. For the things that had to be taken care of, he told us not to worry; that it would be taken care of by him. Thank you also Mike for singing at her funeral, especially her favorite song, Amazing Grace. Thank you and all of your staff at Draeger-Langendorf.
