Linda Lou Knotek

Apr 26, 1936 – May 21, 2024

Service Details

Private family graveside services will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc, WI.

Mount Pleasant – Linda Lou Knotek, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded with the love of family, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

The eldest daughter of 10 children, Linda was born in Two Rivers, WI on April 25, 1936 to the late Charles and Helen (nee: Haertel) Johnson.

Linda was united in marriage with Erwin Ruchhoeft. Erwin and Linda, along with their 5 children, moved to Racine in 1966. Sadly, Erwin passed away of a sudden heart attack at an early age. Years later, Linda married Richard Knotek, who passed away several years ago.

Linda had a great appreciation for the simple things in life: gardening, animals, pets, admiring the birds in her yard and sipping on a glass of sweet wine. Above all, she loved spending time with her entire family.

Surviving are her children, Michael (Vicki) Ruchhoeft of Montrose, CO; Michele (Achille) Cortese of Mount Pleasant, WI; Marjorie (Steven) Orduna of Papillion, NE; Maureen (Andrew) Kahn of San Diego, CA and Melissa Ruchhoeft of Claremont, CA; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents and husbands, Linda was preceded in death by her 11 brothers and sisters.

Private family graveside services will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc, WI.

Testimonials

From a daughter

My parents told me of your kindness, generosity, and servitude when we lost my brother. They needed that strength and your light came through. Thank you.
