Racine – Lois Ann Rashleger, 79, surrounded by her loving family, received the promise of eternal life on Friday, May 4, 2012. She was born in Racine on January 21, 1933, daughter of the late William and Doris (nee: Post) Zinke.
Lois was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert George Rashleger, Sr., on June 18, 1949, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Racine.
Lois attended Racine Park High School and was a faithful member of St. Edwards Parish. Lois enjoyed the simple things in life, but almost everything included activities with her love of 63 years, Bob. Their love endured through their lives journey. Lois was a great homemaker, always devoted to the needs and concerns of her husband and family. Great meals were her specialty, served with love. She held a special place in her heart for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She held various jobs including positions at Case, Western Printing, and Moxness, as well as a devoted housekeeper for 31 years at a private residence doing various job duties. Lois took great enjoyment fishing and spending time at her second home in Red Granite with her family as well as 20 years of summer fishing vacations to Minnesota. Her infectious laugh will be greatly missed.
Lois leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert Rashleger, Sr., of Racine; children, Robert Jr. (Carolyn) Rashleger, Randy (Terri) Rashleger, Kathy (Steve) Pfund, Connie (Steve) Olsen, Sue (Nick) Fesko; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Janice) Zinke, Bobby Zinke; nieces, nephews, and many other beloved relatives too numerous to mention. In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her brother, Billy Zinke, and sister, Lynn McWhorter.
A funeral service for Lois will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012, 12pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Richard J. Molter officiating. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
