
RACINE – Mrs. Marge L. Henricksen, 91, passed away at Elizabeth Residence on Thursday, June 28, 2012.
She was born in Racine on May 13, 1921, the daughter of Hilmer and Lillian (nee: Williamson) Fyhrie. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1939. Three years later on September 26, 1942 she married the love of her life, George M. Henricksen. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1992. Mrs. Henricksen worked at Western Publishing in the 1950’s. She raised her family in Racine until moving to New Port Richey, Florida following George’s retirement in 1980. They returned to Racine in 1986.
A devout Christian, Mrs. Henricksen loved attending Calvary Memorial Church and spending countless summer family vacations at Willerup Bible Camp on Lake Ripley in Cambridge, WI. She also enjoyed crafting, knitting, and listening to music. She was truly the happiest when in the presence of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
Mrs. Henricksen is survived by her children, George Henricksen of Cold Spring, KY, Bonnie Johansen of Racine, Carol (Larry) Neumiller, Gale (Bill) Pucci both of Mount Pleasant and Janet (Dr. Robert) Gullberg of Franksville; her grandchildren, Heather (Denis Kernodle) Henricksen, Jim (Traci) Johansen, Jeff Johansen, Kristen (Shad) Smith, Jon (Jennifer) Johansen, Nick (Amanda) Neumiller, Jenna (Jared) Smerchek, Joshua Neumiller, Annelise and Will Pucci, Johnny, Jimmy, Tommy and Lauryn Gullberg; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Jack and Grace Johansen, Sawyer, Soren, Slayton and Spencer Smith, Jake and Matthew Johansen, Elle and Christian Kernodle; her brother-in-law, Charles Henricksen; and her nieces and nephew, Nancy (Tim) Andersen, Susan (Bob) Thompson and Rick Henricksen. Mrs. Henricksen was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou (Don) Kirsh; brother, Jerry (Betty) Fyhrie; son-in-law, Don Johansen; daughter-in-law, Stacy Henricksen; sister-in-law, Joy Henricksen and nephews, Tom and Bill Kirsh.
Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. for a service celebrating Marge’s life with Rev. Nathan James officiating. There will be time to meet with her family from 4-6 p.m. A private interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to Willerup Bible Camp co the Eckblads 3206 Pierce Blvd. Racine, WI 53405.
