Marilyn Julia Drier

Oct 6, 1941 – Jul 3, 2011

   Marilyn J. Drier, 69, passed away at WFH- All Saints on Sunday, July 3, 2011 after a long battle with Crohn’s Disease.

   She was born in Racine on October 6, 1941, the daughter of James and Estelle (nee: Packamore) Molnar. Marilyn graduated from St. Catherine’s High School.

   She was a dedicated and tireless worker, retiring after many years of service at Great Northern Corporation. She enjoyed spending her time taking care of the home she lived in for over forty years and taking vacations with her children. She was a loving mother and grandmother and always put the needs of her family above her own. 

   Her survivors include her children, Veronica (Jerry) Verwey of Racine, Robert W. Drier of San Jose, CA, Sherry (James) Erickson and Scott (Lori) Drier both of Racine; her former husband, Robert L. (Elaine) Drier of Racine; her grandchildren, Daniel (Sue) Verwey, Nick Verwey, Brandon (Erica) Verwey, Bryan and Ashley Erickson, Justin, Stephanie and Cameron Drier; her sister and brother, Patricia (Erik) Petersen of Racine, Josey Wales of Golden, CO and her dear nieces and nephews, Kelly, Jill, Jay, Cody and Wyatt.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.

   A private service was held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, July 9, 2011.  Her cremains will be interred at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials in Marilyn’s name have been suggested to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (386 Park Avenue South 17th Floor New York, NY 10016 or online @ www.ccfa.org)  

   The Drier family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at All Saints for the loving and professional attention given to Marilyn while under their care.
