Service Details

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home at 5:00 pm. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, August 28th, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.

Marquee “MJ” Haynes, Jr., age 12, of Racine, passed away on Wednesday, August 13,2025.

He was born on February 20, 2013 in Racine, WI. the son of Lynn DeGarmo and Marquee Haynes Sr.

Marquee was excited to start the 7th grade at Red Apple. He loved all his teachers there. Already Marquee participated in basketball, volleyball, cross country, track, and was starting boxing soon.

Marquee, your mom and dad are going to miss you so much. You were just an amazing boy and so smart and handsome. You were going big places in life. Now your brother TJ is going to carry on your legacy with the sports.

He is survived by his mother, Lynn DeGarmo of Racine; father, Marquee Haynes Sr.; siblings, Selena, Deon, Timothy, Semarion, Malyciah Camarion, Marquise, Maliki, and Myari; grandparents, Gary, LeTonya & Curtis; and his dogs, Hammi, Diamond and Buddy; lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and many, many friends.

Marquee was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy; and uncle, Rob.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, August 28,2025 at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home at 5:00 pm. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.

    Losing a son and brother like this is so, so hard, so incredibly painful. We cannot imagine your pain and hope that you will seek comfort and treatment for the pain and agony of this tragedywhen the time is right. We also just wanted to let the family know that they have the support of our family’s prayers and condolences.

    Marquee I love you so much ! Your brothers Marquies & LeBron & your sister Malyciah will dearly miss you ! Along with your cousins Ja’Siah & Ava !
