Mary Louise Ade

Nov 2, 1931 – Oct 25, 2012

Racine– Mary Louise (nee: Granger) Ade, age 80, passed away peacefully at the Becker-Shoop Center on Thursday, October 25, 2012.

Mary was born in Waukesha on November 2, 1931 to the late Gordon and Mildred (nee: Ludke) Granger. On August 30, 1952 she was united in marriage with Donald R. Ade, who preceded her in death on May 17, 1999.

In addition to being a tireless full-time wife and mom, Mary enjoyed playing piano, yard work, staying current with her “soaps” and, recently, never missed an episode of “Dancing with the Stars”. Above all, she loved and cherished being in the surroundings of her entire family.

Surviving are her children, Daniel A. Ade of Racine and Donna (James) Greco of Lindenhurst, IL; brothers, Gordon and Kenneth Granger; devoted niece, Robbie Granger; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph and James Granger; and sisters, Nancy Christensen and Jean Hess.

Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Garden Crypts. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 am.

A special note of thanks to Becker-Shoop Center, Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints and Seasons Hospice for the compassionate care and support extended in Mary’s time of need. May God bless all of you!

Testimonials

Thank you from Raymond Szymanski Family

I would like to thank Mike Langendorf, Bill Althaus and the rest of the staff for the wonderful celebration of the life for my father Raymond L. Szymanski who was a WWII veteran. I especially appreciate how much you really listen and the questions you asked regarding who my father was and what he was all about. Those details showed up in every part of the service from the flowers, the music, the thank you’s, pictures, obituary, outdoor military honors, etc. etc. My father would have been so grateful for the way you honored his life. I also received phone calls from family and friends indicating how beautiful the service was in every way. You and your staff definitely go above and beyond. You treat everyone like family and your compassion is so genuine. There should be more people in the world just like all of you. No words can express our gratitude for all you have done for myself, my father and our family. Thank you so very much and may the Lord bless you and yours! Sincerely Terri Carls and the Szymanski Family
