Mary Terese McNamara

Sep 29, 1952 – Feb 8, 2013

MOUNT PLEASANT – McNamara, Mary Terese (nee Flanagan), Age 60. Baptised into the hope of Christ’s resurrection, Friday, February 8, 2013. Beloved wife of 41 years of Michael Patrick McNamara Sr.. Loving mother of Michael Jr. (Brandy), Maura, Daniel, Kevin, and Molly. Adoring grandmother of Lucy and Teddy Sommerich, Maddox McNamara, and Cole Johnson. Dear sister of Dennis Flanagan, Patricia Webster (John) and Bridget Guffey (Arnie). Dear aunt, great aunt, cousin, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, and friend.

   Mary was preceded in death by her two angels, Shannon and Meaghan, her father and mother, William and Lorraine Flanagan, her sister, Judith Lister, brother, William Flanagan Jr., father-in-law, John McNamara, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Laski and Joan Flanagan, and brothers-in-law, Timothy McNamara and William Lister.

   She was a long term employee of The Racine Gymnastics Center. Mary also was a Certified Medical Assistant and worked for a variety of doctors in Tennessee and Illinois. She had a passion for soccer and gymnastics and was the consummate fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals.

   Funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation will take place on Friday, February 15th at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home (Racine, Wisconsin) from 5pm until 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Racine, Wisconsin) on Saturday, February 16th at 10:30am celebrated by Fr. Ricardo Martin. Graveside services and final committal will take place at Resurrection Cemetery (St. Louis, Missouri) on Monday, February 18th at 11:00am with Fr. Jack Hunthausen S.J. officiating.

   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s name to Nerinx Hall High School, 530 E. Lockwood, Webster Groves, Missouri 63119 or to The Midwest Augustinians, 5401 S. Cornell Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60615.
