
Racine – Michael L. W. Williams-Hankins, 4, joined the Angels in Heaven, as he passed away from this life at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 as the result of an automobile accident that occurred on Monday, March 8th. Michael was born in Racine on June 8, 2005, beautiful son of Ashley Hankins and Tilmon Williams, Jr. He was excited to be a pre-kindergartener at Racine Early Education Center. With endless energy and creative mind, Michael was a fan of Batman who loved to put on his cape and announce to the world “I’m Fatman Michael!”. He stole the heart of anyone he met and touched so many lives in his short time God gave us with him. Surviving are his devastated parents, Ashley and Tilmon Jr.; grandparents, Amy (Donald Lester) Kierstyn, William (Janet) Hankins, Theresa VanWey and Tilmon (Sheila) Williams, Sr.; great-grandparents, Charles and Jackie Kierstyn; Don and Sandy Rothering; Glenn and Virginia VanWey; William and Ruth Simmons; great-great-grandparents, Leonard Kapellusch and Johnnie Simmons; aunts, Alicia(Gio) Halloway; Rebecca (Shawn) Buscher and Kristen Williams; uncles, Tom (Joyce) Kierstyn, Alex (Megan) Palacios and Austin Williams; cousins, Anasta, Drake, Skylar, Devin, Jana-Kate, Adrian and Jayden; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Michael was preceded in death by his great-great-grandparents, Roberta “Grammy” Lueckfeld; Michael and Stella Kierstyn; and Eloise Kapellusch; great-uncles, David VanWey and Norman Brown; and cousins, Malikye D. Williams and Geneva (Jan) Helm. Funeral services for Michael will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 12:00 noon with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 10 am – 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Michael’s family has been suggested. A sincere note of thanks to Racine and Mount Pleasant Police / Rescue and everyone else involved in trying to save our precious little Michael last Monday. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
