Racine – Mollie Maureen (nee: Jones) Batchelor, age 78, passed away peacefully Monday morning, May 18, 2020 at Ascension All Saints Hospital.

Mollie was born in Brownsville, TN, on April 11, 1942 to the late Virgil Sr. and Josphine (nee: Green) Jones. She was united in marriage with Willie Roy Batchelor Sr. on October 12, 1963 in Brownsville, TN. Sadly, Mollie’s life changed forever when Willie passed away on February 9, 2016.

Mollie selflessly served our community as a CNA at St. Monica’s Senior Living and Ridgewood Care Center for over 30 years. Among her interests, she enjoyed reading her daily Biblical devotions, crossword searches, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Waleed Ahmad and Vanessa Batchelor Martin.

My Dear sister. From the time I moved to Racine in 1978, she has been my rock. From my many hospital stays, convention travels , attending my various college graduations, and she was just as happy for me as I was, Christmas’, Thanksgiving dinners and the list goes on. We sit and talked, traveled back and forth to Tennessee for fun and in sorrow. No matter where I moved she was there and I was so happy to have her visit. I had surgery with a life changing event and Mollie, my sister, moved in with me from February to June of that year caring for me. That is why whether I frowned or smiled I would do anything for her. God knows what he is doing. Since January of this year 2020, we talked every Sunday. One Sunday I was a little later calling her she called me and stated,” did you forget about our every Sunday talks? I stated no I didn’t..just behind.” When she entered the hospital on May 4th, we talked everyday until the last few days of her life and she did not feel like talking. Mollie B as I called her affectionately, I have a hole in my heart and this Virus is keeping me from being with everyone. I will forever love you and I pray you know how much I loved you.
