Otto Theuer, Jr.

vet
Aug 3, 1941 – Oct 7, 2015

Racine – Otto Theuer, Jr., 74, received the promise of eternal life on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.  He was born in Mannheim, Germany on August 3, 1941, son of the late Otto and Else (nee: Hȯly) Theuer, Sr.

Otto was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Ulla Thillemann, on December 9, 1967, in Racine.  Ulla preceded him in death on September 29, 2015.

Otto moved to Racine in 1961 as a professional soccer player.  He honorably and faithfully served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. He was employed as a machinist by Twin Disc for 43 years prior to his retirement.  Otto loved to play soccer and remained a fan of the Germany national soccer team for life.  He was also a member of the Kenosha Sӓnger Verein (Kenosha Singers) as well as Deustcher Mӓnner Verein (German Club) in Racine.

Otto leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Steven (Stefanie) Theuer of Racine, Michael (Michelle) Theuer of South Milwaukee; grandchildren, Samuel Theuer, Simon Theuer, Lily Theuer, Annabelle Theuer; sisters, Margot Rexroth, Ingrid Ritter, both of Germany, Barbel Marks of Maryland; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents and wife, Otto is preceded in death by his sister, Ursula Hubner.

A memorial celebration of Otto’s life will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015, 5:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 3:00pm until the time of the service.  Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or Lutheran High School.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to the staff at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital for the care given to Otto, as well as the members of Trinity Lutheran Church and Lutheran High School for the outpouring of support given to our family during this difficult time.
