Years ago, Pat was also active with the Lake Park Women’s Club. Among her interests, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, travelling with great friends, socializing with her dear friends of the “exercise group”, and could pull slot machine handle like no one else. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the “up north” lake house. Above all, she loved and cherished being in the midst of her entire family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 49 years, Mick; their children, Jackie (Paul) Micech, Michael Chizek, Jeff (Molly) Chizek, Cheryl (Jamie) Hansche and Linda (Dave Neu) Chizek; grandchildren, Kelsey, Madison, Jensen and Mckenna Micech; McKyla Chizek; Andrew and Mitchell Chizek; Jonathan, Bryce and Maguire Hansche; sisters, Connie (Jim) Peasley, Debbie (Dale) Stich and Diane (Stan) Pawlowski; brother, Dan (Joyce) Malko; sisters-in-law, Marge and Deborah Malko; brothers-in-law, Bob Wierzinski, Bob Malsack, John Fischer Sr., John (Gloria) Chizek and Bob Chizek; aunt, Eleanor Raeschen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and treasured friends too numerous to mention by name. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Frank III and Bill Malko; sisters, Marlene Wierzinski, Barb Malsack and Sandra Fischer; sister-in-law, Becky Chizek; and father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Helen (nee: Hudak) Chizek. Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 7:30 pm. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm. In accordance with Pat’s wishes, cremation will follow. An entombment committal service will take place on Wednesday at 11 am in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. In memory of Pat, memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested. A special note of thanks to Dr. Michael P. Mullane and staff; Dr. Donald A. Hackbarth and staff; and to everyone from Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints for the compassionate care and support extended to Pat during the past 5 months. May God bless all of you!
