
Racine– Pauline M. Wicke, 81, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. She was born in Manitowoc County on November 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Henry and Olive (nee: Ledvina) Drasner, and had been a resident of Racine for many years.
She was married to Charles A. Wicke on October 28, 1950 in Milwaukee by the Reverend G. Schmeling of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, and enjoyed participating in the church choir. She had natural ability in music, and mastered many different instruments. Pauline enjoyed working with many local organizations. Her leadership ability resulted in her becoming president of many organizations including the Women’s Club of Racine.
Pauline completed many courses at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside. She was proficient in accounting and worked for several local companies during her lifetime. She enjoyed her ceramic hobby, and relaxing with her husband at their farm in Manitowoc County.
Pauline is survived by her husband, Charles; and their son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Rita Wicke of Cambridge; and four grandchildren, Jacob, Erin, Rebecca, and Kristen. She is further survived by brother, Henry (Bobbi) Drasner, Jr. of Jacobson, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Pauline will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2010 with Rev. Michael Zarling officiating. Private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin in the funeral at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Epiphany Lutheran Church, 2921 olive Street, Racine, WI 53403.
