Service Details

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Russell Arnett, in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1704-240th Ave., Brighton on Tuesday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. visitation will be in the Church, that day, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

Memorial Suggestions

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials be directed to  the Kenosha Animal Shelter, 7811-60th Ave. Kenosha, WI 53142.

Phyllis G. Kohler, 95, passed away at Brookside Care Center, in Kenosha, on Monday, July 15, 2019. She was born in Racine on April 21, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (nee: Moe) Alcorn Sr..

On July 11, 1942,  in Albuquerque, NM she was united in marriage to Edward F. Kohler, who preceded her in death on February 1, 1985. Mrs. Kohler had been employed by the Marine Bank until her retirement. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton. Mrs. Kohler was an award-winning quilter.

Surviving are her son, Thomas (Janie) Kohler, of Trevor, WI; two grandchildren, Jason (Krista) Kohler, of Cypress, CA, and Anne Morrill, of Bozeman, MT; sister, Camille Briton, of Paddock Lake. Other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Susan Kohler, brother, Joseph Alcorn Jr., and her loving kitty, Gabby.

Can’t thank Gary and you all enough for our fathers funeral arrangements (Victor Joseph Morris) June 18th, 2020.
He would have been SO proud. So many little personal details that we were not even expecting, totally overwhelmed us. From the pamphlets to the thank-you notes and copies of the video, to the beautiful casket picture and arrangement. Pop looked as proud as he was in life. And thanks also to the very cooperative and helpful staff. We thought it would take much longer to knock this all out at our one and only meeting with Gary. We did not want to overlook, or forget to give our heartfelt thanks for such wonderful service at such a horrible time in our lives.
