Racine – Randall Allen Evitts, age 79, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Tuesday morning, October 20, 2020.

Randy was born in Luzerne, KY on August 17, 1941. He was a 1959 graduate of Muhlenberg County High School.  On March 15, 1975, Randy was united in marriage with the love of his life, Sarah Catherine (nee: Bisotti). Exactly 5 years later, on March 15, 1980 Randy & Sarah renewed their wedding vows and had their marriage blessed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Kenosha.

In the beginning of Randy’s career, he was employed as a security officer at Carthage College. Simultaneously, he worked as a machinist at Young Radiator for over 30 years, before moving over to Racine Unified School District for 10 years, from where he retired. Randy was a faithful member of St. Lucy Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and volunteered in many ways. He was also a proud & dedicated member of Roma Lodge for nearly 45 years, currently serving on their board. Randy & Sarah stayed physically active by working out at the YMCA four days a week for many years. Among his interests, Randy was often on his IPad, was an avid reader, enjoyed watching John Wayne & old-time western movies, trap shooting, snowmobiling, motorcycles, and could be found gambling once in a while. Above all, Randy was all about family and loved spending time with his entire family, especially his grandchildren, the apples of his eye, Emily (age 23) and Parker (age 8).

Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Sarah; sons, Steven (Patty) Evitts and Jason (Brooke Smith) Evitts; grandchildren, Emily and Parker; brothers, Omer (Candy) Klee and Kevin (Gean) Klee; sister, Susan Soderberg; sisters-in-law, Della Bisotti, Maxine Bisotti & Sue Bisotti; brothers-in-law, Deno Bisotti & Virgil (Nowanna) Bisotti; many cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – especially his extended family at Roma Lodge.

Randy was greeted in Heaven by his father, James A. Evitts; mother, Ophelia (nee: Heltsley) Romig; sister, Cheryl Evonne (Bill) Daugherty; Sarah’s parents, Frank & Maggie (nee: Scalvini) Bisotti; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jon Soderberg, Retha (John) Calchera, Basilio (Dorothy) Bisotti, Johnny (Blanche) Bisotti, Geno Bisotti, Valentino Bisotti, Frank (Palma) Bisotti, Marie Bisotti, Louis Bisotti and Albert Bisotti.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Randy’s passing. I was thankful to have gotten to know Randy and Sarah through our joint membership at Roma Lodge. I enjoyed being on the board with Randy and working so many bingo’s with Randy. I always looked forward to hearing Randy’s stories. He was a true gentleman and always had time to visit.

Bingo won’t be the same when we are able to restart.

Dear Sarah and Family, you have my deepest sympathy on the passing of Randy! Steve and I got to know him and your family through the boy scouts at St. Edward’s parish. So many good memories we have cherished through the years. After the scouting days, we would be greeted by you with friendly smiles, especially as guests at Roma Lodge. May God bless you all!
