Renee H. Herman

May 9, 1950 – Nov 17, 2010

     Renee H. Herman, 60, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Renee was born in Racine on May 9, 1950 the daughter of Earl and Rosemarie (nee: Perrelle) Rago.

     Renee was a 1968 graduate of Washington Park High School.

On April 11, 1970, in St. Rose Catholic Church, she was united in marriage Jeffrey “Jeep” Herman. Renee had been employed by A.O.A. Dental Lab for over 14 years. She enjoyed traveling to northern Wisconsin, reading, taking long walks, crocheting, and knitting. Her greatest love was the times she spent with her family and friends.

     Surviving are her husband, Jeff “Jeep”; children, Jerry Swanson, Sherry (Scott) Lein, all of Racine, Scott Herman, of South Milwaukee, Rick (Michelle) Herman, of Sturtevant, and Sean (Amanda) Herman, of Racine; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, and Tyler Herman, Robert and Brayden Lein; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Virgil Glaspie, of Booneville, MS, Joanne Favro, of Ft. Myers, FL, Jerry (Lois) Herman, of Racine, James Herman, of Crivitz, and Joseph Herman of Stedman, NC. Her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents, Renee was preceded in death by her sister Georgiana Glaspie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Janet) Swanson, Judy (Jerry) O’Brien.

     Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, November 20th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 12 o’clock Noon until the time of the service. Private burial will take place in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family who will establish a memorial at a later date.
