Robert Charles Clark

May 5, 1924 – Dec 28, 2011

Racine- Robert Charles Clark, 87, passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Care Center on Wednesday, December 28, 2011.

Bob was born in Racine on May 5, 1924 to the late Thomas and Mable (nee: Dupuis) Clark. Born with special needs, along with his brother, James, they lived at High Ridge Care Center and Racine Residential Care together for many, many years. Following the death of Jim on August 8, 2004 and the closure of Racine Residential, Bob made Ridgewood Care Center his new home.

Although born with special needs, Bob will always be remembered for his positive attitude and happy personality. He was the self proclaimed “official greeter” at High Ridge Care Center for a good portion of his life and was even assigned the task of delivering everyone’s mail because of his friendliness.  Bob was easily satisfied with the simple things in life and never, ever complained even at difficult times.

Surviving are his sister, Irene Dell; brothers, Harold (Marilyn) Clark and John (Sandra) Clark; sister-in-law, Marietta Clark; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and James Clark; brother-in-law, Richard Dell; and beloved aunt, Marie Wabakken.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 6 pm in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating and Deacon Kenneth Clark assisting. Private interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday from 4:30 – 6:00 pm.

A heartfelt note of thanks to the entire staff of Ridgewood Care Center for the loving care and compassionate support given to Bob. May God bless all of you!
