Robert F. Dax

vet
Nov 14, 1920 – Feb 22, 2015

~~
Robert F. Dax, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2015, with his family at his side. He was born in Racine on November 14, 1920, the son of the late Frank and Nellie (nee: Moritz) Dax.
He was a graduate of Washington Park High School, Class of 1939. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Dax had been employed by the Hamilton Beach Company for over 20 years. He was a longtime member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church (formerly Holy Name). He enjoyed bowling, playing baseball, collecting coins and stamps. His greatest love was the time he spent with the family at his cottage on Eagle Lake.
Surviving are his brother-in-law, Joseph Bever, of Racine; nieces, Debbie (Jim) Kania, of Sussex, Janice Erbe, of Mukwonago, and her companion, Steve Gorski, of Eagle, WI; great nieces and nephews, Jessica and Justin Erbe, Megan and Kyle Kania; cousins, Fred (Dot) Gedemer, of Appleton, David (Barbara) Gedemer, Eleanor (Jerry) Maller, all of Racine, and Carol (John) Andrews, of Sag Harbor, NY. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dax was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Bever.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Ave., at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 26th with Rev. Ronald J. Gramza officiating.  Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. A private burial service will take place in Old Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Parkside Manor and Hospice Alliance for the loving care they provided Robert during his illness. The family has suggested memorials to St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church or Toys for Tots.

Testimonials

June 24, 2020

My Aunt, Alvera Van Brunt, was adamant about not having a funeral; with Mike Langendorf’s skills and refreshing open personality, we were able to meet her desires and also give her family and friends a chance for final goodbyes.
