Robert Franze Fenkl

Jun 18, 1953 – Sep 6, 2011

Racine – Robert Franze Fenkl, 58, passed away at WFH – All Saints on Tuesday, September 6, 2011.  Bob was born in Ansbach, Germany, son of Alois “Louie” and Katharina (nee: Nickerl) Fenkl.

Bob came to Racine on October 28, 1955.  He graduated from Case High School in 1971.  He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sharon Christensen, in Las Vegas, NV, on September 1, 1995.  Bob was a partsman for Lakeside International for seventeen years.  Bob loved music and loved playing oldies on his guitar.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan.  He was a member of Deutshcer Manner Verein (German Club) and a former member of the Harbor Lite Yacht Club in Racine.  Above all, Bob was a family man and will be dearly missed by all, especially his best four legged friend, Ted.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; children,  Laura Shockley of Milwaukee, Lisa (Dave) Higgins of Racine, David Bjorkman of Eugene, Oregon; grandson, Brandon Higgins; parents, Louie and Katharina Fenkl; brothers, Dieter (Roberta) Fenkl of Racine, Eric (Stan) Fenkl of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Ronald (Cari) Fenkl of Racine; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 6:00pm on Friday, September 9 with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00pm until the time of the service.  Cremation will follow per Robert’s wishes. The family has suggested memorials to your favorite charity.
