Robert Joseph McCormick

May 14, 1941 – May 6, 2006

ROBERT J. MCCORMICK Paris Township – Robert J. McCormick, 64, died at his residence on Saturday, May 6, 2006. Robert was born in Menominee, MI on May 14, 1941 to the late William G. and Lucille A. (nee: Bourdlais) McCormick. On May 26, 1962 he married the former Sally Jo Velich in Marinette, WI. He worked at JI Case Corporation as a pipefitter for over 32 years before retiring in 1997. Robert belonged to the Case 20 Year Club and the UAW Local 180. He was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paris Township. Robert loved the outdoors. As a member of the Racine Instinctive Bowman Club, he especially enjoyed archery, deer hunting and spending time in Crivitz, WI. He also liked to ride his Gold Wing Motorcycle. In addition to his loving wife Sally Jo of 44 years, he is survived by his children, Steven Robert (Cheri) McCormick of Raymond, Suzann Lynn McCormick of Racine, Mark (Vicky Lange) McCormick of Yorkville; grandchildren, Shawn McCormick, Megan McCormick, Amanda McCormick all of Raymond; brother, William (Nita) McCormick of Racine; step-brothers, Richard and Scott McCormick; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Robert) Mueller of Menominee, MI, Jackie (Russ) Demmith of Lena, WI, Barb Velich of Menominee, MI. His brother-in-law, Kevin Velich, also preceded him in death. Family and friends are invited to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1501 172nd Ave. (Hwy D) in Paris Township on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. for a memorial Mass celebrating Robert’s life with Rev. Aurelio Perez officiating. A heartfelt note of thanks to Hospice Alliance as well as Dr. Michael Mullane and his staff for the compassionate care and support they so warmly extended to us during this difficult time.
