Ronald R. Hewitt Sr.

Nov 18, 1939 – Jun 24, 2011

     Ronald R. Hewitt Sr., 71, passed away, unexpectedly, at the Aurora-St Luke’s South Shore Medical Center, Cudahy, on Friday, June 24, 2011. He was born in Eau Claire, WI on November 18, 1939.

     Mr. Hewitt had been employed by A.M.C. – Chrysler for over 30 years.

He was a member of the Racine Assembly of God, U.A.W. Local 72 Retirees and the Chrysler 20 Year Club. He enjoyed fishing and swimming.

     Surviving are his children, Ronald R. (Betty) Hewitt Jr., Julie Marie (William) Wendorf, Edward J. (Shelly) Hewitt; 7 grandchildren, Ronald (Jenn) Hewitt III, Monica (Paul Tossava) Hewitt, Amanda (Chris) Binanti, Ryan (Rachel) Wendorf, Carmen Wendorf, Daniel Wendorf, and Shawn Hewitt; 4 great grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Kate, and Malachi; his former wife and friend, Rosella Hewitt; sisters and brother, Kathy (Ken) Schreiner, Connie (Ron) Christman, Steve (Nancy) Brinker, Cindy O'barski, and Pamela (Gary) Johnson; and sister-in-law, Marge Hewitt, all of Racine.

Mr. Hewitt was preceded in death by his parents, Garnet and Lillian Brinker, brother, Wyman “Buster” Hewitt, and sister, Linda Hewitt.  Also survived by his beloved cat, Cardan – a gift from his grandchildren.

      A visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m., with a memorial service celebrating his life at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th, at the Racine Assembly of God, 1325 N. Airline Rd, with Rev. Scott Brownell officiating.  The family requests any memorials be donated to the Meals on Wheels program.
