Where do I begin… Ronnie Bowen… Ronnie has been a constant in our lives for a long time now, in fact we just saw him Saturday night at St.Rita’s Fest. From the first time we met Ronnie, we knew what it felt like to be friends with someone so caring. Ronnie “took us under his wing” so to speak, we were a part of what he cherished most, his family! Anyone will tell you the same thing, when Ronnie liked you, he truly liked you like you were a part of his fam!
Being friends, we witnessed the joining of Ronnie and Angie in marriage, and then came the babes… Savannah was born, and she was so teeny and needed extra care for a while, everyone kept vigil with Ronnie and Angie both, praying that Savannah would live so she could know just how special she was to her parents and to the rest of us, her family, and she did, and now look at her, so beautiful both inside and out, one of her Daddy’s pride and joy!
Then came Hailey, what can I say, Miss Hailey, the little “bulldozer” plowed her way into this world with everything that was the best of her Momma & Daddy! She was one of the prettiest babies we had ever seen, she got that beauty from her Momma, and as she grew, we all could see that she had that radiant smile and the jokester attitude just like her Daddy!
My daughter always adored Ronnie and Angie, they made her feel special, especially when they would bring Savannah, Hailey, and sometimes Breanna too out to her ball games, and it didn’t matter how far away the games were, when Ronnie promised her they would be there, she knew they would! I recall one game the Bowen’s were at, and her grandparents were there as well, Ronnie had been talking to my Mom, just small talk and my Mom had mentioned that her and my Dad were camping people. They continued to talk, and my Mom said what nice girls Ronnie had. Almost immediately Ronnie came back with, ” come on girls Grandma and Grandpa are taking you camping, we gotta get you ready!” OMG, pun intended, we laughed and laughed about that one, in fact Mom still talks about how fun that day was. That was Ronnie though, always a quick wit, always trying to make people laugh, always making his friends feel like they were a part of his and Angie’s family, we will miss that…
It’s been a true joy to be friends with both Ronnie & Angie and the pride and joy of them both, Breanna, Savannah & Hailey. We look forward to watching these babes continue to move through life and it’s accomplishments, and we promise to try and make you feel the great joy and pride that your Daddy had for you all, he was an awesome Man and an Awesome Daddy!
Also, although we have not had the pleasure of knowing Ronnie’s other children and grandchildren, we certainly always knew how very much he loved and was proud of each and every one of you all too! Ronnie made sure of that!
So rest in peace our dear dear friend Ronnie, we will never forget you…..
Much love always,
Gary & Christine Ballewske

This is a manager who I think about all the time. We had many arguments about almost everything, but in the end of our debate I walked away with something to think about. Ronnie was full of life lessons, and for that he will forever be in my thoughts.
