Service Details

His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 9th, at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery

Steven A. Geiss, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away at the University of Louisville-Jewish Hospital on Sunday, June 23, 2024. He was born in Racine on July 11, 1958, the son of the late Frederick Charles and Alice Hilda (nee: Meyer) Geiss Sr.

Shortly after graduating from Horlick high school, Steve joined the U.S. Army. He served his country from 1976 to 1980. He started his family in 1984.He was employed at Kennedy Painting for the majority of his career.  He moved to Louisville in 2021 and was currently employed at Bumper to Bumper.

Steve enjoyed golfing, gardening, and exploring his passion for food, both grilling and eating. His greatest love was the time he spent with his children and grandchildren .

Surviving are his children, Heather (Brad) Carr, Hannah (Michael) Martinez, and Harlan Geiss, all of Racine; stepchildren, Harley Hulsey, and Heaven Hartsfield; grandchildren, Patrick and Peyton Carr, Landin and Braydin Martinez, Kaylee Geiss ; siblings, Sandy McGill, of Union Grove, Judy (Rob) Rasmussen, of Milwaukee, and Frederick (Sue) Geiss Jr., of Racine. His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him.
