STURTEVANT – Teresa Lee Dillard, 66, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

She was born in Racine on April 3, 1959, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Arleen (nee Barrows) Bower.  Teri graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1977.

She married George “Doc” Dillard on February 14, 1993.  He preceded her in death on March 26, 2013.

Teri retired from SC Johnson as a paralegal and was also a former co-owner of Hiawatha Bar and Grill in Sturtevant.

Teri loved to be outdoors fishing and camping.  Her happy places were the lakehouse on Lake Mason at the Wagon Wheel Campground in Briggsville and the family cabin in Saint Germain.  She was an exceptional cook and considered cooking her love language.  In her retirement she shared her passion for cooking by creating her own business “Teresa’s Catering” which she ran through the family business.  She also enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers, especially at the Hiawatha.  However, Teri was happiest in the company of her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Justin Joseph Barkley (Rishana), Joshua Dean Barkley, and Réna Marie Dillard; her grandchildren, Adeline Arleen Barkley, Jonathan Jorge Calverley, and Harlee Rae Andresen; her sister and brother, Tammy Graceffa (Parrish) and Tim Bower (Annette); as well as numerous dear sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, JANUARY 3, 2026, for a visitation from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.  A service honoring and celebrating her life will follow at 12:00 pm.  A private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.

I will always remember Terry as a sweet caring soul who loved family. She showed her love not only through her words, but through her actions, especially when she helped my wifes family during a time of need by supporting her family benefit. Also with the passing of my parents taking care of their celebrations. I will miss seeing her smile n our conversations catching up. Her kindness, generosity, and love will forever remain in our hearts.

Growing up as Rena’s Bestfriend I spent a lot of time at your house. You guys were like my second family. When my parents were going through a divorce and times were tough you guys took me on a vacation to Florida and it was my first time there . From accidentally getting a non virgin Pina colada, to George teaching me to “properly” use a fork and knife, to Rena catching a pelican when we were fishing it was a time to remember. Or pulling over before we went over bridges because you refused to drive over them haha. You also took rena and I dress shopping for one of our dances and bought my dress. A majority of my childhood memories include you and Rena. You will be missed so much. Only plus is that your finally reunited with George . Much love to the family.

It now seems to have been a blessing to have a quiet conversation with you at the snowmobile club dinner. We laughed and I enjoyed that you shared your organized catering notebook with me. Most often, I saw you in passing at Hiawatha and we exchanged a smile, a hello, a goodnight, or a quick hug, but that night we sat together for short time and spoke about your passion, your work. It is a nice memory and one I will cherish.
