Theodore Coleman, Jr.

vet
Jun 30, 1952 – Mar 23, 2014

Racine – Theodore Coleman, Jr.; age 61, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at his home on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

Ted was born in Enterprise, Mississippi on June 30, 1952 to the late Theodore and Thelma (nee: Price) Coleman, Sr. He faithfully served our Country with the United States Army as a specialized tank operator where he was awarded badges for M-16 Rifle, .45 Pistol and Hand Grenade skills.

During his career, Ted was employed with JI Case, Racine Steel Castings and American Motors. Ted had the gift of salvaging older items that nobody else wanted any longer. He also had a great appreciation of music.

Surviving are his sons, Lazarick Riley, Theodore Kern; his brothers, Jerry Coleman, Gregory (Linda) Coleman, Michael (Donna) Coleman, Jeffrey Petty and Anthony Coleman; sisters, Jennifer Coleman, Lori Coleman and Carmela Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Price Coleman, Timothy Coleman and Arnold Wayne Coleman.

A Service of Homegoing will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 am.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Bill’s service was beautiful, beyond belief. Leslie was priceless in all she did. Gary, knowing Bill for many years, said a few words at the service. The special touched I didn’t expect warmed my heart. Two very, very special people helped make a sad day into something very special.

Thank you to all those that helped behind the scene, setting up, opening doors. My heart is full.

Bless you.

Helene Hellesen
