Virginia Lee Paolocci

Oct 18, 1928 – Aug 4, 2011

Mrs. Virginia “Ginny” Paolocci, 82, passed away at WFH-All Saints on Thursday, August 4, 2011.

A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on October 18, 1928, the daughter of Elmer Lawrence and Leta Leone (nee: Jackson) Larsen.  On May 15, 1948 she married Joseph A. Paolocci at First Congregational Church.  He preceded her in death on February 21, 2000.

Ginny loved nature and had a special fondness for birds.  She also enjoyed country drives, reading and cooking.  However, she was happiest when she was in the presence of her family.

Her survivors include her special friend, Daniel Behmke of Racine; her children, Leslie (John) Paulson of Manassas, VA, Lynn (Arnie) Bollom, Lori (Steve) Glowacki both of Racine, Lane (Shannon) Paolocci of Hudson, WI; her grandchildren, Robert (Cindy) Eichhorn, Amy Paolocci, Candi (Brian) Matthews, Stephen (Cherye) Paulson, Andrew Paulson, Lea (Trey) Bell, Katy Griebenow, Alex (fiancée, Kassi Dix) Griebenow and Alyssa Paolocci; her 14 great grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Dylan, Marissa, Morgan, Nicholas, Mason, Alana, Nicholas, Isabella, Sarina, Michael, Devin, Makynna and Amalia; her sisters, Betty Larsen, Elaine (Syl) Gorelik, Karen (Joel) Sys all of Racine; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Paolocci was preceded in death by her son, Lance Paolocci.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. for a service celebrating Ginny’s life.  Her burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Tuesday from 12-1 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or Countryside Humane Society.
